A Bit About Me
Hi! I'm Spencer Heijmen, a passionate and creative individual pursuing an Art Major focused on Film and a Business Minor at Rice University. Filmmaking is a passion of mine, and I've produced and directed multiple short films, including one featured at the Rice 'Water in Every Way' film showcase, which aimed to highlight the importance of water conservation. In addition to my film work, I have a deep love for music, having written and produced over 250 songs, as well as the soundtrack for all of my short films. Outside of my artistic pursuits, I've been an active community member, serving as a caregiver, participating in environmental initiatives, and contributing to non-profits such as San Fransisco City Impact and the Houston Food Bank. My experiences have shaped me into a well-rounded individual, ready to tackle new challenges and make a meaningful impact in the world of art and beyond.
